Kelly is the “Horseman”. He did a 3-year apprenticeship with Kale's Arabian Horses in the 1970's and then spent time with Chuck Court gaining incredible insights into gaited horses. Since then he has worked with all breeds and seats helping each horse he works with attain the relaxed silky flow of a performance horse. He works with each horse and rider to overcome that plateau we all find ourselves at. He rides each horse at the stirrup level of their rider so that the needed cue or technique is exactly placed for the horses rider. Problems fall away as the rider carries on and can actually overcome that plateau
Heidi is the "People" person. Since 2013 she has called almost 1,000 tests and attended many judges seminars to help her develop her eye on proper Western Dressage gaits and movements and how the riders help or hinder their partnership with their horses. Her eye is incredible at helping riders make those fine adjustments to attain better partnering with their horses, fine tune their gaits, and manoeuvers, and help you keep more of those points on your score sheet.
People who have attended their clinics come away with a whole new appreciation of Western Dressage and how it can help so many other equine disciplines. Many reiners and barrel racers learn a whole new appreciation of their horses and the Western Dressage techniques that will help them in their chosen disciplines.
The pair has also put on many shows and events. Heidi has fine tuned organizing a Western Dressage show and will help groups who are having trouble getting started, or just need help fine tuning their events. Shows are excellent opportunities to raise money for your group and increase awareness and members for your group.
Do you have questions on Gaits or Manoeuvres? Are you unsure of the rules? Do you want to put on a show and don't know where to start? Kelly & Heidi have extensive experience and would love to share it with you.
